Even if ‘the summer of George’ is a dozen years past, the Nike Cortez Black Friday still finds new ways to remain relevant. We’ve seen a bunch of Flywire-equipped updates lately and here are a few in the classic style. The Nike Cortez Nylon features suede accents on three new styles. With pairs in white/black, black/white/pink and orange/white, all three achieve the retro vibe, sans vintage detailing.
In addition to the Fly Motion Cortez in the Forrest Gump colorway, Nike has just released this Nike Cortez Women in the same White, Red, and Blue colorway. The biggest difference between the two shoes is the silhouette and innovation, with this pair using the Classic Cortez silhouette, notice the name, and the Fly Motion using an updated silhouette of the Cortez that also features Flywire and Nike Free.
Today marks the release of the Nike Cortez Men “Aloha Pack”, a floral quartet of sneakers that dole out a rare graphic treatment for this timeless Nike runner. The floral thing has been pretty present across Nike Sportswear’s catalog as a whole over the past couple of years thanks to the ongoing Liberty series of collaborations but make no mistake-this one is all Swoosh designed.
After a stint in the tiger camouflage that so many sneakers are rocking these days, the original Nike running shoe gets back to basics with a colorway that ties into its best known regional affiliation. You might call these
new Nike Cortez Sale the ‘Kirk Gibsons’, because the Blue Hero colorup for one of SoCal’s favorites most definitely carries with it a Los Angeles Dodgers tie in.
